Sensory Safari Adventure Project
We are so excited to design, build and donate two sensory rooms for two deserving families as a result of the Charity Hockey Game we hosted with Scoring Goals for the Community in September 2025!
This safari theme room was designed to help Max develop a variety of skills including sensory integration which improves coordination and attention, emotional regulation which helps manage stress and anxiety, social skills by providing a space for cooperation and motor skills through activities that enhance fine and gross motor control. This room provides a safe, controlled environment for Max and his brother Matteo to explore sensory input, calm their bodies and build confidence in their abilities.

We had a wonderful team who assisted with this project. Marilena from Wall Wear did a fabulous job with the jungle/safari theme mural and was such a pleasure to work with. We look forward to incorporating more of her murals into our sensory rooms in the future.

As always, Matt and Kevin from Drake and Co. Renos worked meticulously to assist with our sensory room install and are such a pleasure to work with. We especially appreciated their support with our Charity Hockey Game as they joined our team to play and helped fundraise. They also helped us spread the word about our charity to their friends and family and we are so grateful for all their support.

There is a lot of coordination and work that happens behind the scenes and Michael, Co-Founder of For Little Monkeys Charity is always ready to step in to assist with anything and everything to ensure the project is as smooth as possible. Whether it’s assembling products upon arrival, assisting with site visits, delivering products for install day or brainstorming to come up with new ideas with the Board and our Advisory Committee, he does it all with a smile!

Reveal day is always filled with joy and anticipation! Audra Bradbury from North of 42 beautifully documented every moment, from the stunning details of the space to the heartfelt behind-the-scenes moments during our interviews, and the emotional reactions of the family. Her lens captured the spirit of the day in every frame (see gallery below).
It was a pleasure to work with Ralph (Rlph Production), Alvin (Vlographer) and Ryan to capture the reveal day which was filled with a lot of emotions.

Amanda and Ninab are extraordinary parents whose unwavering dedication to their children shines through in every word and action. Their commitment to helping Max reach his full potential is nothing short of inspiring and it’s clear they advocate fiercely, nurture patiently, and celebrate every milestone with joy. Through the challenges, they’ve never lost sight of the blessing their son is and they see his uniqueness not as a limitation, but as a gift that has deepened their compassion and strengthened their family bond. During the interviews, their honesty and vulnerability moved everyone and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Their story is a powerful reminder of the difference love, acceptance, and advocacy can make.
